Quick and easy no-bake granola bars made with rolled oats, peanut butter, honey, and cocoa powder. Perfect for wholesome, mess-free school snacks that kids and adults love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups rolled oats (about 180g)
  • 1 cup natural peanut butter (240ml), creamy or crunchy
  • ½ cup honey (120ml)
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder (25g)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips (90g), optional
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch (20×20 cm) pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy lifting.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine peanut butter and honey. Heat for about 30 seconds, then stir until smooth.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt to the warm mixture.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine rolled oats and cocoa powder, tossing to distribute evenly.
  5. Pour the peanut butter mixture over the oats and cocoa powder. Mix thoroughly until every oat is coated and the mixture is sticky.
  6. Fold in mini chocolate chips gently to avoid melting.
  7. Transfer the mixture to the lined pan and press firmly and evenly using a spatula or lightly greased hands.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight to set.
  9. Lift the set slab out using the parchment overhang and cut into 10–12 bars.
  10. Store bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

Press the mixture firmly into the pan to prevent crumbling. Warm peanut butter and honey before mixing for better binding. Chill bars for at least 2 hours or overnight for best texture. Variations include using almond or sunflower seed butter for nut allergies, swapping chocolate chips for dried fruit, or adding nuts for crunch.
